Bacche Bole Morya
Ganesh Chaturthi, one of India’s most cherished festivals, brings people together to celebrate the arrival of Lord Ganesha. However, the festivities often come with unintended environmental consequences, such as water pollution from non-biodegradable idols and increased traffic congestion around key landmarks and pandals.
To address these challenges, Bacche Bole Morya, an initiative by Chhatra Sansad in collaboration with Vadodara Police, was launched to inspire a shift toward eco-friendly celebrations. The program emphasizes the use of natural, biodegradable materials for idol making and engages communities to adopt sustainable practices. By partnering with the Vadodara Police, it also ensures smoother traffic management during the festivities.
From its inception, Bacche Bole Morya has been driven by the energy and enthusiasm of students across Vadodara District, who actively participated in creating eco-friendly clay idols for distribution. These efforts have sparked a city-wide movement, significantly increasing the adoption of sustainable practices during Ganesh Chaturthi.
